Business Model
PyCell Studio™ is a free product. Both the authoring capability, used by PyCell™ developers, and the OpenAccess plug-in, which opens and instantiates PyCells from PyCell libraries in any OpenAccess-based tool, are free. Ciranova™ has made PyCell Studio available for free because we believe that OpenAccess must have a universal and interoperable PCell authoring and instantiation capability.
Ciranova's business model for PyCell Studio is to provide commercial support and premium functionality to PyCell Studio users rather than licensing the software. We believe this business model is well suited for EDA infrastructure software. By making PyCell Studio available for free, we have helped accelerate OpenAccess adoption, which benefits everyone.
