Protecting Your PyCell Investment

In order to ensure that PyCell™ developers and users will have continued, free access to PyCell Studio™, Ciranova™ has placed the PyCell Studio source code into escrow with Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE:IRM). The source code will be released to Si2, as part of the non-core contribution process, for distribution to the entire OpenAccess community if any of the following conditions occur:

  • Depositor (Ciranova) begins charging for what was previously offered at no charge
  • Depositor fails to port PyCell Studio to new platforms supported by the OpenAccess Consortium
  • Depositor fails to release bug fixes and/or enhancements at least twice per calendar year
This means that as a developer or end user of PyCell Studio, you will always have access to the software for free. Any IP you create or use with PyCell Studio will always be freely usable.
