Ciranova's Free Product: PyCell Studio

PyCell Studio™ is a free product. Ciranova™ has made PyCell Studio available for free because we believe that OpenAccess must have a universal and interoperable PCell authoring and instantiation capability. PyCell Studio does not require a license manager or any licensing mechanism.

PyCell Studio includes all of the following capabilities:

  • The complete Ciranova Layout API, including all Smart Objects and Smart Methods
  • Pyros™ Layout Viewer, with built-in interactive DRC capabilities
  • PyCell Explorer, a fast and easy tool for testing PyCell code
  • PyCell Library Generator, a utility for associating libraries with technology files
  • PyCell Developer Kit, which includes sample PyCell libraries, plus utilities and scripts for:
    • Library compilation & testing
    • Physical verification
    • Test suite development
  • Ciranova OpenAccess PCell Plug-in, which evaluates PyCells in any EDA environment.

A component of Ciranova's PyCell Studio software. The Pyros Layout Viewer can open any OpenAccess block, select layout objects for examination, and manipulate PyCell parameters. Pyros also includes a built-in design rule checker that allows users to check the layout interactively.
