Eric Filseth - CEO
Eric has 23 years experience in the EDA and semiconductor industry, spanning both analog and digital design. Prior to joining Ciranova in 2007, he served as marketing vice president for digital implementation products at Cadence Design Systems, including logic synthesis, formal verification, place-and-route, and DFM. Before that he held executive marketing and business development positions at Silicon Perspective Corporation and Sente, Inc. Previously Eric spent ten years marketing analog, RF and mixed-signal products at Cadence. He started his career in 1983 as an amplifier design engineer with National Semiconductor. He received an MBA from UCLA and a BSEE from Stanford University.
Ed Petrus - COO & VP of Engineering
Ed joined Ciranova in the summer of 2004 bringing with him 20 years of experience in building engineering teams and developing complex software systems. Ed spent 10 years at Cadence Design Systems where he was a key architect and developer of SKILL® and other components of Cadence's DFII technology. Before Cadence, Ed started his career in EDA as a software engineer at Daisy Systems. Ed has also held engineering management positions at Military Advantage and Nanomix. Ed holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom.
Sid Faulkner - CFO
Sid joined Ciranova in the fall of 2007, with more than 25 years of experience in finance and operations management positions for technology-based companies. He was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Oak Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:OAKT), where he led the 1995 initial and secondary public stock offerings, established an active program of intellectual property protection, and participated in the acquisition of four companies. He has since held similar positions at SandCraft (MIPS microprocessors), Techwell (video decoders), and Kilopass Technology (NVM IP). Faulkner has a BSBA, major in Accounting, from the University of Florida.
Michael Ma - VP of Business Development
Michael joined Ciranova in the summer of 2006. Michael has 15+ years of experience in the EDA, IP and IC industries. Most recently, Michael spent three years as the Vice President of Foundry and IP Relationships of Magma Design Automation focusing on the supply chain solution for Magmas design community. Prior to that, he was the Senior Director of Business Development at Artisan Components for six years responsible for driving worldwide end user adoption of Artisans physical library products. Michael holds a B.S. Electrical Engineering and a M.S. Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California as well as an M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco.
Dave Millman - VP of Marketing
Dave joined Ciranova in the summer of 2004. Dave brings more than 20 experience in EDA and technology marketing. Dave spent 12 years as a principal of Tactics Sells High Tech, Inc., providing EDA, semiconductor, software and networking companies with market and product validation services. Before Tactics, Dave was Director of Marketing for EDA products at IBM. Before IBM, Dave was Director of Marketing at Epic Design Technology. Dave also held engineering and marketing positions at Daisy Systems and Motorola. Dave studied electrical and aeronautical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Joe Yeager - VP of Sales
Joe joined Ciranova in the spring of 2008 bringing with him over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing. Prior to joining Ciranova, he served in various sales management roles at Cadence Design Systems, Silicon Perspective and Cooper & Chyan Technology. Joe also held application engineering management roles at Cadence Design Systems. He started his career in 1989 as an analog CAD engineer with National Semiconductor. He holds B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Santa Clara University.
