How to Install PyCell Studio:

  1. Download the appropriate Complete Kit for your platform and OpenAccess version. If you are not yet using OpenAccess, choose the most recent version. Otherwise, check the interoperability matrix to choose the correct package based on the OpenAccess version you use.

  2. Uncompress the download package in a temporary directory by typing:
    % tar -xzvf ciranova_installer-<platform>-<OAversion>-<date>.tgz

  3. On a command line in the ciranova_installer-<platform> directory, type:
    % ./installer

  4. Follow the prompts to select which packages to install. It is safe to install all packages; the installation is self contained within its own directory.

  5. At the end of the installation process, the script will return a path name ending in a directory called "quickstart." Open the "README.txt" file in that quickstart directory, and follow its instructions.

Universal OpenAccess PCells, created using Ciranova's PyCell Studio software. PyCells are authored using the popular Python programming language, hence the name.

A component of Ciranova's PyCell Studio software. The Pyros Layout Viewer can open any OpenAccess block, select layout objects for examination, and manipulate PyCell parameters. Pyros also includes a built-in design rule checker that allows users to check the layout interactively.
