You can write a PyCell once, and deploy it with OpenAccess-based tool sets everywhere. Ciranova supplies an OpenAccess plug-in that will evaluate PyCells in any EDA environment.

PyCell Studio does not rely on any existing EDA tools or environments. It includes:

  • A powerful layout generation API designed for OpenAccess
  • A graphical layout viewer with integrated DRC capability

3. PyCell Studio enables language-based layout generation for the 21st century

PyCell Studio brings the power of a full geometry engine and advanced technology database to the layout generation API. All functionality is exposed through Python, a modern, object-oriented Programming language. The result: layout that is design-rule-correct-by-construction, with full support for minimum, recommended and conditional rules.

4. PyCell Studio is fully compatible with Cadence

Virtuoso Layout Editor can instantiate and manipulate PyCells, including advanced PyCell features such as stretch handles, auto-abutment and pin connectivity preferences.
